Privacy policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
STAVARA™ operates this website, including all related information, content, and features (the “Services”), to share information about Stavara and to enable visitors to join our product waitlist. STAVARA™ is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or otherwise communicate with us through the Services. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Scope note: the Services are currently informational and waitlist-only. We do not currently offer online checkout, accept payment, or run targeted advertising. This Policy is scoped to reflect our actual current practices and will be updated as the Services expand.
Personal Information We Collect or Process
When we use the term “personal information,” we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. We currently collect or process the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with the Services:
-
Contact details, including your name and email address, when you join our waitlist.
-
Communications with us, including information you include when contacting us, for example through an inquiry to concierge@stavara.co.
-
Device information, including your device, browser, or network connection, IP address, and other unique identifiers, collected automatically by our hosting platform, Shopify.
-
Usage information, including how and when you interact with or navigate the Services.
We do not currently collect financial or payment information, account credentials, or transaction history, because the Services do not yet support online accounts or purchases. If this changes, we will update this section before it takes effect.
Personal Information Sources
We collect personal information from the following sources:
-
Directly from you, when you join our waitlist or otherwise communicate with us.
-
Automatically through the Services, from your device when you visit our website, including through cookies and similar technologies operated by Shopify.
-
From our service providers, including Shopify, which hosts the Services and processes certain information on our behalf.
We do not currently receive personal information about you from third-party marketing partners or data brokers.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
-
Provide and improve the Services — to operate our waitlist, respond to your inquiries, remember your preferences, and improve the Services’ functionality.
-
Communications — to notify you about product availability, launch updates, and related news, and to respond to your inquiries. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
-
Security and fraud prevention — to protect the Services from fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity.
-
Legal reasons — to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process.
We do not currently use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising, and we do not participate in Shopify’s cross-merchant advertising features (Shopify Audiences). If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement the opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law before doing so.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to:
-
Shopify and other service providers who perform services on our behalf (for example, website hosting and email delivery).
-
Our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
-
Third parties when you direct or consent to such disclosure.
-
Relevant parties in connection with a business transaction (such as a merger), to comply with legal obligations, to enforce our terms or policies, or to protect the rights and safety of Stavara and others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for us. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and processed by Shopify, which may be located in a country other than where you reside. We do not currently use Shopify’s enhanced advertising features (such as Shopify Audiences), which would otherwise involve Shopify processing your data alongside data from other merchants for cross-store advertising. If we enable these features in the future, we will update this section and this Privacy Policy accordingly. To learn more about how Shopify uses personal information, you can visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users. Depending on where you live, you may also exercise certain rights directly with Shopify through the Shopify Privacy Portal at privacy.shopify.com/en.
Third-Party Websites and Links
The Services may provide links to websites or platforms operated by third parties, such as our social media pages. If you follow those links, you should review their privacy and security policies. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third-party sites.
Children’s Data
The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below to request its deletion.
Security and Retention of Your Information
No security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” We recommend that you not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive information to us. We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate the waitlist and respond to your communications, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law:
-
Right to Access / Know — request access to personal information we hold about you.
-
Right to Delete — request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
-
Right to Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
-
Right of Portability — request a copy of your personal information in a portable format, in certain circumstances.
-
Managing Communication Preferences — opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
We do not currently sell or share personal information, or process it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law — so there is currently no “do not sell/share” opt-out mechanism to offer. If this changes, we will implement the opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law, including recognition of the Global Privacy Control signal where applicable, and update this Privacy Policy before doing so.
To exercise any of the rights above, email concierge@stavara.co. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we process your personal information, please contact us at concierge@stavara.co. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country you live in, including in the United States, where our service providers (including Shopify) operate. Where required by applicable law, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent UK mechanisms, for transfers out of the European Economic Area or United Kingdom.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
